The Department of Theraputic Nutrition is a newly established department within the College of Health Sciences. Its aim is to prepare technicians capable of successful scientific practice in the field of clinical nutrition. The curriculum includes several courses in the general phase, followed by a three-year specialization phase. This specialization involves practical and theoretical courses, distributed among supporting, specialized, and examination-based courses. The department boasts a number of professors specializing in clinical nutrition who supervise the practical program, providing students with comprehensive scientific concepts and answers. During their specialization, students receive practical training in the college laboratories and the regional teaching hospital.
After passing the final examinations at the end of the fourth year, students undertake a three-month external training period at the teaching hospital and specialized clinics to gain practical skills and experience. Upon completion, graduates receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Theraputic Nutrition.
